Bernard Hurley

President

Mr. Hurley has over 20 years of technical experience in environmental inspections, including project design and management, and has experience managing and coordinating large scale environmental projects. He has 11 years of construction and demolition experience and specializes in managing and coordinating multi-disciplined environmental and demolition projects. Mr. Hurley is a certified Project Designer, Building Inspector, and Management Planner. He is also a certified Lead Based Paint and Microbial Inspector. Furthermore, Mr. Hurley is an expert witness and has been involved in dozens of large litigation cases involving asbestos and mold.

Mr. Hurley was also an active participant in workshops relating to changes in various asbestos regulations, including the State of Colorado Regulation Number 8. Over the past 20 years, he has worked closely with both State and EPA regulators to develop procedures and protocols to handle the most technically challenged asbestos projects within the state of Colorado. Furthermore, Mr. Hurley has utilized state of the art procedures, protocols and systems in such cities as Kansas City, Missouri, and currently Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to help them develop their asbestos management programs.

In the past, Mr. Hurley was the Environmental Principal who oversaw the redevelopment effort for the Entertainment District in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. He supervised environmental projects for the KC Live Project, Downtown Arena and the former Jones Store. In addition, Mr. Hurley was the Project Coordinator for the asbestos abatement of the controversial BMA Tower in Kansas City, Missouri.

Other large projects that Mr. Hurley has overseen include: Project Management for demolition and remediation projects at the former Stapleton International Airport in Denver, Colorado (from 1999 to present), as well as Project Manager for the Savannah River Department of Energy (DOE) site, in Aiken, South Carolina. He also served as Project Manager for microbial, lead and asbestos abatement, demolition management and oversight, and HAZMAT characterization for FEMA through Grand Forks, North Dakota, in response to the flooding that occurred in 1997.


Sam Rolf

Mr. Rolf boasts over 14 years of professional experience with environmental inspections, project design and project management, as well as 10 years experience in both environmental remediation and demolition related activities. Mr. Rolf is a certified Project Designer, Building Inspector, and Management Planner. He also is a certified Lead Based Paint and Microbial Inspector.

Mr. Rolf’s entire professional career has been dedicated to providing quality support on environmental remediation and demolition projects throughout the continental United States. He is directly responsible for the execution of many contracts, and is the person in Denver who plans, assigns and directs all field and office personnel. He works directly with Mr. Hurley to ensure that the projects proceed according to planned schedules and budgets. Mr. Rolf has gained the trust and respect of Family Environmental’s management staff through his role as Vice President of the company since 1992. Mr. Rolf often acts as the “Adept Person” for Family Environmental and liaisons with many clients on a day-to-day basis.

Currently, Mr. Rolf is the Project Manager for asbestos abatement and demolition project work at the former Stapleton International Airport in Denver, Colorado. He is responsible for design and review of abatement plans, as well as developing soil remediation plans for the Stapleton Landfill project. Furthermore, Mr. Rolf is responsible for three separate project sites within the airport complex and, therefore, has the responsibility of managing and communicating with three different contractors. Mr. Rolf also acts as the Family Environmental contact for City and County officials and interfaces with these officials on a regular basis. He is also responsible for coordinating and running weekly progress meetings and managing a staff of roughly 25 employees, each of whom perform different environmental tasks around the former Stapleton Airport project site.

Mr. Rolf was also part of the project team for the asbestos and hazardous materials inspections at the AMAX Research Facility in Golden, Colorado. Through this project, he developed the Site Specific Health & Safety plan that was implemented out in the field, and also performed QA/QC of all inspections, documents and project designs.

Mr. Rolf has also performed building inspections, project oversight and air monitoring for the asbestos removal projects at Savanna River Department of Energy (DOE) site in Aiken, South Carolina. Mr. Rolf’s staff provided oversight on 15 large abatement projects, managing several abatement contractors simultaneously. In December 2003, Family Environmental’s building inspectors performed a complete asbestos building inspection for this project, where they sampled 300,000 square feet of administrative building space on the property. This was the largest administration building at the Savannah River Site. It was also an emergency survey in which our team was given 30 days for inspection, sampling, sample analysis and asbestos project design. This project was finished on time and within budget.


Mike Dustman

Mr. Dustman has over 6 years of experience in the environmental field. His responsibilities include: project management, detailed project cost estimating, development of work plans, Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP), sampling and analysis plans, health and safety plans, reports for emergency responses, site inspections, integrated site assessments, and Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), and remediation activities. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of relevant and applicable Federal, State, and local environmental laws and protocols. Mr. Dustman has been the project manager for a number of local agencies and private clients, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 4 Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START) contracts; in response to Hurricane Katrina, Commerce Bank, and the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

Mr. Dustman is a certified AHERA Asbestos Project Designer, Inspector, and Missouri Air Sampling Professional. He has conducted hundreds of on-site AHERA asbestos inspections, completed the subsequent project design for proper asbestos abatement, and conducted contractor oversight during asbestos abatement actions.

Mr. Dustman is a certified lead-based inspector and Risk Assessor. He has managed numerous lead-based paint inspections, risk assessments, and completed the oversight of many multi-family residential housing complexes in and around the City of Kansas City, Missouri, using HUD protocols.

Mr. Dustman has performed and managed an extensive amount of mold investigations. These investigations are usually conducted in occupied facilities and are sensitive in nature. Mr. Dustman puts the needs of the client at the forefront of these investigations in order to get resolution of mold concerns. Mr. Dustman also stays current with all state of the art practices issued by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) concerning indoor air quality and mold.

Mr. Dustman had conducted numerous radon investigations in and around the Kansas City, Missouri area. These radon investigations were conducted for private homeowners and commercial facilities utilizing charcoal canisters for short term and long term testing. A report was then generated and delivered to the client with recommendations based on analytical data collected.

While managing the Kansas City office, Mr. Dustman is also responsible for several high profile multi-million dollar projects, including the Block 100 Building Demolition in Kansas City, Missouri. His work on this project has included comprehensive Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, and updated Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, interior asbestos and lead-based paint inspections, hazardous material surveys, asbestos abatement and project design, and air sampling. Additionally, he is overseeing the interior restoration of the 11500 Building in Kansas City, Missouri, which is currently owned by the Kauffman Foundation. His work on this project has included project design for the removal of remaining asbestos containing materials that were currently managed in place, prior transferring ownership.

Additionally, Mr. Dustman was the Contract Oversight during mass excavation and pure insulation of the Sprint Center Arena in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri. This work included asbestos abatement oversight, building demolition, soil remediation, and mass excavation.


Mike Murphy

Mike Murphy

Mr. Murphy has over 29 years of technical experience in environmental remediation project design and project management. He has extensive experience managing environmental remediation projects ranging in value from $1-28 million dollars. Mr. Murphy also has 26 years of construction and demolition experience and specializes in managing and coordinating multi-disciplined environmental and demolition projects. Mr. Murphy is a certified Building Inspector and Project Supervisor and has provided expert witness testimony in several court cases.

Mr. Murphy is currently serving as senior project manager for Family Environmental’s Demolition Project Management Services and Industrial Hygiene projects for the City of Cedar Rapids, including and not limited to environmental management over mold, asbestos, lead and other environmental hazards that resulted from the flood in the summer of 2008. He has assisted in the development of demolition oversight procedures and has conducted numerous hazardous material inspections in City owned properties, while providing guidance to City Officials for future environmental assessments and remediation activities.

Mr. Murphy also served as Senior Project Manager for the asbestos abatement and interior demolition of the controversial BMA Tower in Kansas City, Missouri. The BMA Tower consisted of 19 floors and over 400,000 square feet of office space. This project involved a complete interior demolition and abatement of asbestos containing fireproofing. Thanks to the efforts of Mr. Murphy and the other Family Environmental staff, the job was completed within budget and ahead of schedule.

Other large projects that Mr. Murphy has participated in include an asbestos remediation project on fifteen (15) floors of the World Trade Center Towers, asbestos abatement on the Colony Center Mall in Albany New York, and various Johns-Manville asbestos manufacturing facilities. In addition, he served as Project Coordinator for LVI in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. Mr. Murphy was an operational manager for an interior demolition and asbestos abatement project for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, as well as a senior project manager for an asbestos abatement project for the Kansas City International Airport. Mr. Murphy also has extensive experience with projects involving the FAA, EPA, FEMA and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.


Janet Rolf

Company-Wide and Denver Office Manager

Ms. Rolf is the company-wide office manager for Family Environmental and is located in our Denver office. She is a Comptroller and performs all manner of office duties and tasks. It is her responsibility to make sure that payroll is done accurately and in a timely manner, as well as to ensure that all employee miles and expenses are logged and accounted for. In addition, she is responsible for Accounts Payable and interacts with all of Family Environmental’s subcontractors on a routine basis, negotiating payment terms and specials needs. A substantial portion of her responsibilities is also spent on Accounts receivable, where she ensures that clients are billed accurately and with proper backup. She has extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office software package, as well as QuickBooks and SharePoint.

Ms. Rolf is the company-wide Human Resources manager for all Family Environmental employees. She is responsible for interacting on a daily basis with all employees in order to meet all needs and facilitate a productive working environment. Ms. Rolf is an asset to Family Environmental and has been with the company since its inception.

Family Environmental is announcing the hiring of eight new staff to augment its capabilities and qualifications. The staff was hired across all 3 of Family Environmental’s offices (Denver, Kansas City, and Cedar Rapids). Each comes from a diverse background and brings with them a variety of expertise and experience. We are pleased and proud to announce each of them and present a brief statement of their qualifications and their contributions to Family Environmental.


Elizabeth Bayer, PhD

Sr. Executive Operations Manager to the CEO

Ms. Bayer is the senior executive operations manager to the CEO, Bernard Hurley, with Family Environmental. She heads up Business Development and Marketing and is responsible for establishing electronic databases, and managing all forms of electronic advertising (including websites, Share Point, electronic news letters, etc.). She is also an environmental specialist and a soon to be doctor of environmental law and policy with over nine years of experience and education in environmental, coastal, marine, political and legal fields. Ms. Bayer brings strong expertise in communicating and dealing with culturally diverse constituents on regulatory compliance. Furthermore, she has career experience in Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, hazardous material identification and management, asbestos surveys and abatement oversight, building inspection, report production, government-based regulatory projects (including Navy, EPA, US Army Corps of Engineers), sustainable development and natural resources, coastal planning, and a thorough understanding of the implementation of science in policy and legislation to meet economic objectives. Ms. Bayer also brings strong international expertise in both the scientific and political/legal fields.


Greg Sharp, CAC

Mr. Sharp is an Administrative Office Manager with over 21 years of Environmental Compliance Management experience and over 15 years of Environmental Consulting experience. Specifically he has written air sampling plans and worked with field staff to ensure all work being undertaken is performed in compliance with plan specifications. In addition, Mr. Sharp has had experience supervising and managing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental media surveys, asbestos abatement, demolition and remediation of contaminated soils. Mr. Sharp also has experience preparing work plans, which include budgets, technical reports, regulatory negotiations and oversight of field activities.


Michael Murphy

Mr. Murphy is a certified Building Inspector and Project Supervisor and has provided expert witness testimony in several court cases on behalf of Johns-Manville Corporation. He is currently serving as senior project manager for Family Environmental’s participation in the oversight of Cedar Rapids’ flood recovery efforts. Mr. Murphy has assisted in the development of demolition oversight procedures, conducted numerous mold and asbestos inspections in City owned properties and provided guidance to City Officials for future environmental assessments and remediation activities. Gabe Touma, CHMM, REA

Senior Environmental Scientist/Project Manager

Mr. Touma is Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), a State of California Registered Environmental Assessor, and an environmental scientist with over seven years experience in soil and groundwater remediation including Phase I and Phase II site assessments. He also has extensive knowledge of federal and state health and safety regulations and has been the primary health and safety coordinator on many projects throughout his career. In addition, Mr. Touma has been heavily involved in the permitting process on groundwater well installation and removal. Some additional projects that Mr. Touma has been engaged with include the superfund site at All Metal Company in Burbank California, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) site at the Santa Sussana field laboratory in Los Angeles County, California, and the Carson Refinery in Los Angeles County, California.


Jeffrey Reinhard

Environmental Hygienist

Mr. Reinhard has over five years worth of experience in the construction and demolition industries. He currently works for Family Environmental as an Industrial Hygiene Project Manager. In this roll he serves to oversee asbestos abatement projects, perform lead based paint and mold inspections and perform air sampling and monitoring on all types of buildings, both residential and commercial. Prior to this, he was in the field of Construction Management, working as a project coordinator and surveyor. In this position it was his responsibility to manage subcontractors, calculate earthwork quantities, perform cost analysis and perform topographic surveys.


B. Scott Schaper

Environmental Field Technician

Mr. Schaper has been hired as one of Family Environmental’s field technicians responsible for performing a broad range of tasks, from contaminated soil sampling to asbestos abatement monitoring. Additionally, Mr. Schaper has a background in structural engineering and was the primary field inspector for all soil, rebar and concrete work done on the Prowler roller coaster at the Worlds of Fun theme park in Kansas City, MO. Mr. Schaper was responsible to ensure that all material and rebar configurations complied with plan specifications. Furthermore, he assisted in the grading and drainage design on the Grey Hawk subdivision located on Mize road on the Shawnee KS/Lenexa KS border. Mr. Schaper’s duties included 100yr flood elevation analysis, detention pond design, drafting and site grading.



Kong B. Ly

Environmental Field Technician

Mr. Ly has been hired as one of Family Environmental’s field technicians responsible for performing asbestos surveying, abatement, contaminated soil sampling, air quality monitoring and other tasks. Mr. Ly ensures that the asbestos abatement contractors are thoroughly and safely performing their work on the project sites. Additionally, Mr. Ly has a diverse background, including a Bachelor’s of Art in Chemistry and several years experience working in an Environmental Laboratory, both as a technician and as a supervisor. One of the many tasks that he undertook while working in a laboratory setting included analysis of environmental water and soil samples using mass spectroscopy and gas chromatography.


Ann Ferguson

Environmental Technician

Ms. Ferguson currently works for Family Environmental as a field technician. She is qualified to perform all manner of Environmental Air Quality sampling and analysis and has over two years of experience in the field of Industrial Hygiene. She is proficient in reading PCM air samples and is responsible for performing quality control checks on abatement contractors to ensure that work is being done in a safe and timely way.


Paul Shumate

Environmental Scientist

Mr. Shumate is currently working for Family Environmental as one of our Field Technicians, performing all manner of asbestos abatement, air quality monitoring and contractor quality control. Prior to joining Family Environmental, Mr. Shumate worked in the field of pest management. He was involved in the inspection and assessment of cotton farms. Through this work, Mr. Shumate used state of the art computer technology, such as GIS, and was able to evaluate pest control problems for various cotton producers throughout the Midwest.


Danielle Hurley

Assistant Office Manager, Denver Colorado Office

Ms. Hurley has over five years of experience in the Environmental Services industry. She is well versed in all office software packages, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint and QuickBooks. She assists in the coordination and setup of meetings with contractors and clients. Ms. Hurley is also responsible for coordinating with technicians regarding scheduling and supplies, so that our field staff have all the equipment and information they need to perform their job properly. More recently, her responsibilities have grown to include assisting with management of River North Environmental Laboratories, an environmental assessment laboratory started by Family Environmental to address the need for an accredited, quality lab in the rocky mountain region. Ms. Hurley is a quick learner and has been the Environmental Services industry long enough to be well versed in all aspects of the business.


Christeen Coberly

Information Technology and Database Manager

Ms. Coberly has nine years experience in information technology and database management. She also has extensive experience maintaining computer systems, hardware and office databases. Ms. Coberly has a thorough knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and QuickBooks software packages. Using these skills, she is able to effectively create document libraries, assist in developing records, as well as process and retrieve all procedures, and perform audit and security controls. She also has experience implementing assurance recovery procedures and database maintenance schedules

Ms. Bayer is responsible for establishing electronic databases, and managing all forms of electronic advertising (including websites, Share Point, electronic news letters, etc.). She is also an environmental specialist and a soon to be doctor of environmental law and policy with over nine years of experience and education in environmental, coastal, marine, political and legal fields. Ms. Bayer is an experienced technical writer, cost estimator and commercial marketing developer, and brings strong expertise in communicating and dealing with highly culturally diverse constituents on regulatory compliance.

Ms. Bayer has career experience in the fields of regulation compliance, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, hazardous material identification and management, asbestos surveys and abatement oversight, building inspection, report production, and government-based regulatory projects. She has participated in a variety of projects covering land-based industry issues, coastal and economic development, invasive species analysis, and human impacts on biological populations. Ms. Bayer’s area of expertise include environmental policy and legislation, sustainable development and natural resources, coastal planning, demolition oversight, and a thorough understanding of the implementation of science in policy and legislation to meet economic objectives. Additionally, Ms. Bayer was a lead member of a government-funded project in England, which focused on the employment of environmental indicators to meet regulatory and political objectives, with emphasis on natural marine resources. She brings strong international expertise in both the scientific and political/legal fields.

Mrs. Bayer is currently acting as Share Point Coordinator for the City of Cedar Rapids Demolition Project Management Contract, which is managed by Family Environmental Compliance Services, Inc. She is responsible for creating and managing an electronic database to store information from the City and various contractors, in order to meet the documentation requirements of FEMA. Ms. Bayer routinely works with a variety of City officials and addresses any and all of their concerns through an electronic question and answer posting board, which is viewable on the SharePoint site.

In the past, Mrs. Bayer has acted as an assistant project manager for a Homeland Security and Public Safety project for the Los Angeles and Long Beach Areas, which involved a variety of stakeholders and a team of professionals. Ms. Bayer was responsible for designing and managing team websites and for assisting the project manager with an assortment of tasks, including creating and overseeing documents and files, creating spreadsheets, power point presentations, and general organizational tasks.

Mrs. Bayer was part of a team of scientists working for the State of Montana and the EPA Region 8 to perform property evaluations of residential, commercial and other properties throughout the town of Troy, Montana. Ms. Bayer performed indoor and outdoor investigations, soil sampling and aggressive attic inspections to determine whether contaminated vermiculite had been transported to these sites and if it existed at concentrations that pose risks to human health. Furthermore, Ms Bayer participated in asbestos surveys for 600 buildings located on Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA. The purpose of these surveys were to evaluate the buildings for the presence, quantity, locations, and characterization of ACM that may require pre-renovation/demolition abatement in accordance with National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) regulations as adopted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).


Greg Sharp

Business Development and Marketing Manager

Mr. Sharp is a Senior Principal Officer, an Environmental Scientist and Project Manager with over 21 years of Environmental Consulting/Construction Management experience. Specifically, he has written air sampling plans and worked with field staff to ensure all work undertaken is performed in compliance with plan specifications. In addition, Mr. Sharp has experience supervising and managing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental media surveys, asbestos abatement, as well as demolition and remediation of contaminated soils. He also has experience preparing work plans, including, budgets, technical reports, regulatory negotiation and oversight of field activities.

As Family Environmental’s Business Development and Marketing Manager, Mr. Sharp works directly with Ms. Bayer to track all clients, and projects, as well as to interact with clientele to offer the highest standard of service and capability. He is knowledgeable of regulation compliance and industry standards across many states and acts as a technical reviewer for all Family Environmental documents. Mr. Sharp aids Ms. Bayer and the Business Development and Marketing team by making client relations a top priority in his work, with both current and potential new clients.

Currently, Mr. Sharp is currently serving as the Administrative Office Manager for Family Environmental’s Demolition Project Management Contract. Mr. Sharp is responsible for maintaining and managing the web based electronic SharePoint database, establishing and maintaining all FEMA Property Management files with original documents and subsequently, delivering these completed files to city staff to facilitate FEMA funding. Mr. Sharp is also accountable for obtaining all Notices to Proceed with Demolition, verifying that all items on the FEMA 19 Point Checklist are completed prior to the request for closeout, as well as providing written documents and/or letters to property management files, as necessary.

In the past, Mr. Sharp Mr. Sharp served as the Contract Manager/Project Manager for Phase I, II and III work on Blocks 126, 138, 139 and 140 of the KC Live Entertainment District Project, Kansas City, Missouri. Blocks 126, 139 and 140 required the removal of 10,000 tons of soils contaminated with Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH). Mr. Sharp was also responsible for overseeing the risk assessment work that was performed on these blocks. Mr. Sharp also served as a Project Manager for projects which involved multiple Phase I ESAs. These assessments were performed on 5 grain silos located in Colorado, Kansas, Florida and Alabama. Mr. Sharp oversaw the investigations that occurred at these silos and successfully identified contaminants of potential concern to the sites.

Mr. Sharp has also served as the Program Manager for a project with the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Great Lakes Region. He was responsible for review of the General Contractor’s pre-construction submittals, as well as for writing the project’s Air Sampling Plan. Mr. Sharp worked with the field staff on a daily basis to ensure that all work was performed in accordance with project specifications, as well as conducted “Project Briefings” to FAA staff, to address their safety concerns and ensure proper understanding of the work at hand.


Kelley Kates>

Ms. Kates has experience in marketing and business development and is responsible for all aspects related to proposals and technical writing. Her skills and experience allow her to effectively market Family Environmental to our clients. Ms. Kates works directly with Ms. Bayer to track all projects, records, databases and interacts with clientele to facilitate a smooth launch to each project. Ms. Kates helps manage client relations and keeps Family Environmental employees up to date on potential projects for each office location. She is an experienced and accomplished writer and is currently investigating environmental toxins and their effects on the communities surrounding Cameron, Missouri. Ms. Kates utilizes the totality of her experiences and expertise to assist in the smooth operation of Family Environmental’s Kansas City office, as well as to advocate business development ideas for the company.

Ms. Kates has extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office and Quicken software packages, as well as other business development software. She has performed a variety of presentations on various environmental and legal topics, including water quality monitoring, and criminal and constitution law. Additionally, she is utilizes her free time for an environmental justice internship, ensuring that environmental toxic incidents are made available to the public and are accurate in their information. Ms. Kates feels strongly about environmental research and sustainable practices and spends her time promoting environmental conservation through recycling and volunteer efforts. Ms. Kates is also a political advocate for the environment and routinely attends Town Hall meetings, Kitchen Table Talks with Senator McCaskill, and forums held by non-profit organizations, such as Repower America, Bridging the Gap and Missouri Coalition for Clean Energy. Through her endeavors, Ms. Kates involves Family Environmental in various community efforts and brings passion to the company by creating a face for Family Environmental within the community.


Gabe Touma

Mr. Touma is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), a State of California Registered Environmental Assessor (REA), and an environmental scientist with over seven years experience in soil and groundwater remediation, including Phase I and Phase II site assessments, and is currently a State of Colorado Building Inspector. He also has extensive knowledge of federal and state health and safety regulations, and has been the primary health and safety coordinator on many projects throughout his career. In addition, Mr. Touma has been heavily involved in the permitting process on groundwater well installation and removal.

Since joining Family Environmental, Mr. Touma has become a project manager and a marketing/business development associate. He works to procure work with current clients and extend contracts to include a much larger consortium of environmental services to current Family Environmental clientele. Mr. Touma is a key marketing associate in Family Environmental’s Denver office and attends many community functions pertaining to environmental concerns within the Denver community. Furthermore, he meets the needs and demands of all clients by assessing the validity of the scope of work in each project, in order to manage client costs and future liabilities.

In the past, Mr. Touma worked on the superfund site at All Metal Company, in Burbank California. Tasks included permitting, procurement, groundwater well installation, well development and well abandonment. He was also involved in the collection of soil and groundwater samples using EPA sampling methods.

Mr. Touma was also involved with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) site at the Santa Sussana Field Laboratory, in Los Angeles County, California. His responsibilities included reviewing documents for data gaps and preparing deliverables associated with historical operations at several NASA, Boeing and Department of Energy (DOE) Sites. Mr. Touma also performed GPS logging, staking, underground utility clearance checks, and general management of over 500 sampling locations. In addition Mr. Touma was the generation, onsite storage, manifestation, and transport coordinator for this job.

Mr. Touma was also a key part of the Carson Refinery project in Los Angeles County, California. His primary responsibilities included boring installation and boring log preparation, as well as aquifer step-drawdown testing.


Marty Libansky

Mr. Libansky has over three years of consulting and marketing experience. He is a dedicated member of Family Environmental who consistently produces accurate results and receives first-class client commendations. As the environmental coordinator for our Denver office, Mr. Libansky has risen to become the team leader for the Denver Metro region, and has accounted for hundreds of building and home surveys for asbestos and mold. Mr. Libansky ensures that all Federal, State, and local regulations and ASTM protocols are followed by team members in the field, and verifies that all project operations continue in a timely and accurate manner. In his work, he has provided oversight on large asbestos projects, such as the former Stapleton International Airport, where he was the compliance officer for soil remediation, and at the Ice House in Pueblo, CO, where he conducted regulatory oversight.

Furthermore, Mr. Libansky has become Family Environmental’s lead marketing associate, responsible for producing and assembling all forms of marketing materials (electronic, hard copy, email newsletters, Family Environmental’s website and blog, etc.). He is a graphic designer and AutoCad professional and is accountable for project drafting, project design and maps and figure production. Additionally, Mr. Libansky is an experienced infrared thermo graphic inspector (thermograph), which is cutting edge technology utilized in conducting building and home environmental assessments.

In his job as team leader, Mr. Libansky has played a crucial role in the environmental assessments of the government and residential structures of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, which were affected by the massive floods of 2008. Through this work, Mr. Libansky performed air monitoring and mold assessments throughout the City, to aid in their flood recovery and redevelopment efforts. Mr. Libansky was also the team leader in creating a Management Plan for the Calvary Apostolic Catholic School in Denver, Colorado. Through this project, Mr. Libansky was responsible for asbestos testing and operations and maintenance (O&M), which is a management plan that is geared at asbestos, which is in good condition and set to remain in place.
